Hello my dears
How has your July been, hot? Rainy? Stormy? Here’s hoping that however it has been, is and will be that when you meet Jesus there, you are able to withstand.
Today’s nougat – July 9
When Jesus saw THEIR Faith, He said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Mk 2:5
Have you ever expressed/experienced faith on behalf of someone else. Not so much as standing in the gap WITH them, as it is creating the Gap on their behalf. In this version of the miracle, the friends create the opening for their dis-abled friend and essentially take him to the space of healing. While we don’t have any idea of the paralytic’s response prior to being taken to Jesus, the Faith of the friends is clarified.
Sometimes, it is necessary for us to create the Gap for others – I refer to this as Intercessory Faith. And, in many instances, we find support and power in numbers and agreement (two or three touching on godly matters) thus increasing our willingness to believe for others when we find it harder to believe for ourselves. Christ honors that kind of faith too, so we continue to stand in the gap for others.
Who might we intercede for today.
