Hello everyone

I pray your week has been loaded with recognizable blessings. You see, we receive blessings all throughout the day, especially in “those” moments that question or faith, sanity, sanctity … but we’re not always wired to recognize it receive them.

Today’s nougat is a blend of my own thoughts with an acronym on faith forwarded to me from the Purpose Driven series.

Before we go any further, I pray fresh revelation, increased practice of faith through life’s circumstances and strength to stand in the midst.

But without faith, it is impossible to please God, for we who approach God must first believe that God exists, and rewards anyone who diligently seeks God. Heb. 11:6

What then, is the outworking of our Faith, how do we live our Faith in the practical, day to day elements of our lives, where fear, disappointment and failure seek to thrive?

Purpose Driven Coach recommends Faith goals, (also known as SMART goals), which I’ve included with my own illustrations below:

F- Focused.

In the woman’s bid for wholeness, she crawled around and under the crowd until she got to the hem of THAT particular garment and did what she set out to do. She touched Jesus’s garment.

A- Attainable.

Bartimaus did not waver when he realised that Jesus was in town. Obviously he coined the phrase made famous by the Pauline writer, “I can do ALL this through Christ who strengthens me”. Attainability is about Christ, NOT us.

I- Individual

Generally Faith is personal. In fact, when we share our faith goals, others might scoff. BUT, sometimes we practice Jesus’s promise, ‘where two or three are gathered, agreeing on issues related to God, Christ is in the mix.’ The four friends were united in Faith as they lowered the inform through the roof.

T- Trackable

She yielded, going the prophet her last meal, believing that add long add the famine remained, she and her son would not go hungry. Her faith was rewarded. She could measure the results.

H-Heart Felt

I’ve found it hard to raise my faith level for something I’m not interested in. One writer says what the heart can believe, the body can achieve. Of course, we recognize that this must also be a desire which lines up with God’s will. God offers us many things. Until we believe with our hearts, we hardly ever walk into those promises.

This weekend and beyond, I invite us to set aside the things which distract and deter us, and, in Faith determine that through Christ, out goals ARE accomplished, so we might not only please God, but also gain the reward for daring to overcome the impossible.

Be blessed. May God’s increase be ours on this Faith Journey.
