Since the outbreak of the pandemic, many countries are hearing from their governments far more frequently than they did before. Are we hearing from our Head of ALL States? Consider today’s Holy Nougat
““I still have much more to tell you, but you cannot handle it just now.” John 16:12 TLV
That almost feels like a slap to the face. There are the disciples being taught by Jesus and they are told, ‘You’re not ready for deeper conversation right now.’ And yet, it doesn’t seem that they were offended. Why? Probably they weren’t sure they were even ready for what they were hearing from Jesus then.
How about us?
This is not about criticism.
This is an invitation for preparation. We need to be ready for whatever God wishes us to do and be. Especially in this season where everything is changing in the twinkling of an eye. The world is desperate for the Word, for God’s own Truth and so do we. And God desires empty and willing vessels to fill us up with God’s Truth. Are we ready to hear God’s voice?
Are we ready for a serious tête-à-tête (one-to-One) with God? Are we ready to hear directly from the Lord; to hear the truths that the Lover of our Souls wishes to share with us – about ourselves, our families, our nation and the world? Are we ready to declare God’s undiluted Word as received; or to intercede for the nations? If God were to come calling right now for a visit, are we ready to receive God’s presence?
If we are to walk IN purpose ON purpose, then we desperately need to be ready for a divine visit. Otherwise, we are trying to just fill the pews in a church that has been Sent Out.
My peeps, God’s peeps. Time’s a’ wasting. It’s time to get ready.
