Blessed greetings to you
Have you ever been a teacher’s pet? And if you taught school, were you guilty of having obvious favorites? If yes, what was the most significant clue for favourites? Do they have any bearing on today’s Holy Nougat™
But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. Acts of the Apostles 9:15 NLT
Saul was God’s Chosen minister. His ministry was international, his reach extensive. His zeal was unmatched by the Followers of the Way. He was comfortable in every context, regardless of the social standing. Those held him in great stead for the task assigned him by the Lord.
And yet, Saul faced persecution. Multiple times. And God was very aware of the persecution, long before it began. In the same conversation with Cornelius, the Lord predicted that Saul-Paul would endure seasons of disaster.
Chosen-ness by God is not for the faint of heart. It has a happily ever after ending in eternity. God’s grace sustains us through the seasons of suffering, and offers an even sharper testimony to the watching world. And in the in-between seasons, God’s glory is revealed in our lives in ways which seem somewhat fantastic.
Ironically, many who witness God’s glory working in our lives might not witness the seasons of drought. But, that’s not our concern. Rather, we are Called and Chosen to reflect God’s Healing, Hope and Love to a lost, broken and dying world.
Are we up to the privilege of Chosen-ness?
Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast
In Christ’s love and grace
