“And he said to him, “If your presence will not go, do not carry us up from here.”

Now that was some serious bold talk!
The same Moses, who was once struggling to accept God’s mantle for his life and ministry found his voice . With no stutter. And rather than refusing to go where he was sent, he had a very clear and powerful request of YHWH. I’ll go where You wish; PROVIDED the visible (tangible) proof of Your presence accompanies is! In short, Moses asked for God’s glory to be revealed wherever he went.
In a time when the church is either going to rise in revelation through this pandemic, could YHWH Adonai be searchingly for a Moses , or even a Joshua, ready to assume the mantle of leadership in our contexts? The leader may be the current pastors, tho with the current paradigm shift, there may be need for other skills also – and the skills include the willingness to follow God’s lead, even into enemy territory.
Yup. Like the Israelites, our journey to the Promised Land includes Wilderness Wanderings and Water Woes; possibly Spiritual and Physical famine. And while it may be for the faint of heart; it’s definitely designed for God’s chosen. Is it you? Is it me?
It’s not a position that requires lots of raw or natural talent. Nope. It requires resolute trust in God, that refuses to make ANY decision without God. For whom God calls, God equips (Hebrews 13). Should we respond positively to God’s invite, may our response be like Moses, ‘With Your glory present, certainly.’ For we know we can do all thing through Christ our strength (Philippians 4).
It’s a new season my dear. In God’s strength will you go forth?
