O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who trusts in him. Psalm 34.8
This morning I dreamt that someone wanted to know what was on the menu. I gave the standard Jamaican response; “Air pie and nutten pudding”. Of course, the person in my dream didn’t think that was cordon bleu food.
Yet; the psalmist suggests that God is edible and that the invisible God, when tasted, is cordon bleu fare. How does one taste God? Perhaps by feasting on the Word which is a fairly clear indication of God’s character. Or maybe by spending time in prayer; establishing a mutual relationship which enhances trust and confidence in God. What about sharing God with others and participating in the Feast which reminds us of a Feast gone and an even greater one to come…
Body and blood; bread and wine. God in God’s eternal glory.
