The work week is once again in full swing. Are we ready and equipped for what that entails?
Here’s today’s nougat
She has done what she could and has anointed my body for burial ahead of time. Mark 14.8
That woman! Entering the male space and daring to be so intimate with him! Doesn’t she care about propriety? And how dare the Teacher not put her in her place? And then he claims to be the Messiah? Yeah right.
And Jesus, sensing the disquiet does the right thing. He puts her In her place. A place of honor. Her action was deemed prophetic by Jesus, because when her did die; his body was not anointed. Between the crucifixion and his resurrecting, it never happened.
Is it possible that in our scoffing at those whose actions are out of order and inappropriate; we too are missing God’s point?
Lord, teach us to live for you more and more each day.
