Blessed Sunday my dears
Here’s today’s nougat.
Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man answered,”I want to see.” So Jesus told him, “Go. Your eyes are healed because of your faith.” And the man [Bartimaeus] could see and he followed Jesus down the road. Mark 10:51-52
What is it that propels a blind man to race after Jesus in the midst of an uncommon crowd? What is it that propels many men and women to seek mediums, fortune tellers other such persons? What is it that propels you and I forward in prayer when we recognize Jesus on our life journeys? I suspect that it would be desperation.
We often find Jesus when we are desperate. And, in those moments faith perhaps comes very easily. It’s during ordinary times, or when it seems Jesus has not answered our plea (in the affirmative) that we often lose sight of our faith.
As we traverse this week’s situations, I pray we will draw unto THE One – Jesus Christ – who heals, sustains and forgives.
