Hello,
How is your day so far my dear? Hopefully we’ve been able to sense God’s presence.
Today’s nougat
And he said, “Father of You are working, leery this chip pass from me, however not my will but Yours be done”. Lk 22:42
We might be tempted to ask if he really said it. But then, we’d also have to ask what is it about it that makes is uncomfortable.
Asking to be excused from a (potentially) painful, undesired situation; or being strong enough to yield to God’s plan. Ironically, the entire request is couched in the reference to God’s will. Now if Jesus yielded to his human nature to seek an alternate plan, what say you and I?
It’s ok to ask for a change of plans or situation. It’s ok to ask God for help. However, when it’s over and done, we may prefer to yield to God’s will. It is the best way to go.
Be blessed.
