As for the saints that are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight. Ps 16:3
When last have you heard someone describe you as excellent … An accolade specially reserved for things/persons of support quality. Yet someone sees us true believers as excellent … ‘the beloved who brings pressure to God and humanity’. Two phrases, from two biblical sources, referencing two different situations. By an ordinary person speaking of persons who maintain a positive relationship with God; and God’s Spirit praising the early Jesus for his divine actions.
As follows of Christ, we live for being recognized by our similarity with Vista actions. It is great to be praised by our friends, families or even our foes; but even more excellent when the praise comes from God and the glory goes TO God
May our works, thoughts and speech generate praise for God and greater love in us towards others. Blessings
