Hello
When was the last time someone showed real interest in your welfare? Many times what we get isn’t intended for response. Let’s resolve to be more intentional about the little things.
Here’s today’s nougat
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory. Forever. Luke 11.4 1/2
The Greek term doxa, is that which roughly translates to glory. It relates to intrinsic worth which is positive – honor, splendor, majesty – or divine.
This reminds us that God’s glory is external to us. Although we seek to affirm and recognize God’s worth, truly our actions fail to match up to the angels continuously worshipping, “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord the whole earth is full of your glory”.
Are we even aware of the splendor of God In all creation, beginning with ourselves? Or are we busy offering lip service to God like those persons who say howdy do, but don’t wait for the answer?
Perhaps it’s both, depending on what’s going on. But in those down moments when we’re faking the veneration of our Lord, a quick glance at creation might help recharge our praise and recognition of who God is. And maybe, when we glimpse God’s glory, we will be reminded that God is capable of transforming our situations.
So the next time we pray, maybe we should take a look around and allow the wonder of creation to lead us to perpetual praise.
God’s glory is forever. Amen
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
