It’s a whole lot of official celebrations round about now, Grenada’s independence, Chinese new year, Trinidad carnival; but there are those amongst us who have little to celebrate.
Here’s today’s nougat
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.2 Corinthians 1:3-4
What an amazing assurance, that our God is aware of our sorrows and distresses and seeks to journey with us through those moments. Of course, it might feel differently while we’re undergoing the situations, but sometimes when we get on the other side, we discern what we previously missed, God was there.
So when you’re journeying through the valley of shadows, hold to the solid assurance that the light peeks through to guide you.
