By now you have heard of the refugee crisis and have been impacted by the situation. Inasmuch as we do … but that’s not for today.
Here’s today’s nougat
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1.9
Confession: the call to abiding truth . . . Have you ever thought about it this way? As unwelcome as the concept is, I hear the apostle indicating that failure to confess our sins takes us further and further from Jesus, who is our Truth.
Considering that Jesus is our go between moving away from him could prove dangerous to our very existence AND our spiritual health. And that’s the joy of our God -relationship. God really wants to be be close to us, but our sins often get in the way Jesus’s blood contains THIS antidote, but first, we have to desire that cure which guarantees closeness with God.
You see, confronting our reality usually births remorse, which has the potential to birth confession of our sins, which usually births Peace in our lives, which surpasses human logic.
So, are we ready to encourage the Way, the Peace and the the Truth into our lives permanently? Let’s begin with the perusal of our spiritual life. Take some time to do it just now.
