Hello
Consider the following words,
“I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion – Hosea 2.19
How do you feel upon hearing these words? Can you relate to them at all? Does God’s assertion through Hosea elicit joy, worry, or fear? How do you deal with romantic love, with concepts of intimacy, with marriage?
Are we open to intimacy with God? A God who knows all about our spiritual failures and successes, who is well aware of our needs and desires and loves, needs and desires us in return? Is there any intimate relationship in our lives? What does godly intimacy look like?
How does our relationship with God impact our ability to love and trust others?
God’s desire for us is long-term; a. engagement that lasts till the ultimate marriage feast? Are we ready for the marriage?
Intimacy is both Adoration and Confession for our love (adoration) often gets translated into action (confession).
How does our proclamation of love for The Ultimate Love translate into action?
