Who would have thought that this commandment would have proven do difficult to obey. Likewise the logic which is provided increases the need for obedience.
Just think. In many of our lives there is at least one individual who challenges our love mandate. Seriously,, loving some individuals/types of persons isn’t as natural as it ought to be. I believe that’s when Love becomes a spiritual gift which genuinely comes from the Holy Spirit and not from within.
Love is also a choice. We have to decide to love someone despite … whether it’s God dispensed or not. So when one of our nearest and dearest or our children offends us, the love doesn’t get turned off. Rather, we might find an appropriate response. We are urged to do likewise for acquaintances and strangers.
