Hi there,
“Would you be my praise partner, won’t you praise with me?” Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
When Abraham’s servant heard their answer, he bowed down to the ground and worshiped the Lord. Genesis 24:52 NLT
Having sworn by Abraham’s God to find a wife for Abraham’s son Isaac, it is perhaps rather fitting that his servant goes prostrate before the Lord when his quest has ended. However, that isn’t necessarily our default mode these days, is it.
Rather, as humanity has become more and more self absorbed, we find ourselves more prone to take credit for ‘our’ accomplishments. This gives the impression that we operate in human strength WITHOUT the power or grace of God.
When we have asked for God’s intervention in our circumstances, it is only reasonable that we remember to give thanks. Especially when the prayer is answered in the affirmative. Let’s be the one leper who remembered to give thanks; the one servant who prostrates before the Lord in thanksgiving, regardless of onlookers.
For, in the final analysis, we’re the only ones who know the full extent of what God has done for us.
So what do you say, will you be my praise partner? If yes, let those praises ring!!!
In Christ’s love and grace
