Did you find yesterday’s Love mandate a wee bit challenging? No? That’s great. Keep up the good work. Yes? Well, welcome. I’m not always as love-filled as I ought when carrying out any task. So where does that leave us?
Something to munch on with today’s Holy Nougat™
For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. 1 Corinthians 4:20 NLT
As yesterday’s Holy Nougat proved, love needs to be more than talk, it is perfume which permeates every task assigned or appropriated by oneself. But often, it seems easier said than done.
However, today’s Holy Nougat offers the foolproof method to accomplish this Love mandate … and all the other God-mandates which seem impossible. We opt out of ‘brute force’ (aka “the arm of flesh’) and choose intentionally to live by/in God’s power. It is an act of will, will not and of submission. We use our Willpower to determine that we WILL NOT succumb to our own spirit; and we SUBMIT to the Spirit of the Living God In the process!
That simple.
That challenging.
And the alternative? Umm. Rather simple. Extremely challenging to spiritual wellbeing.
In light of the wanton disregard for human life, the habitation issue with assylum seekers, the rise in natural disasters and our very own desires to transform the world, perhaps we ought to consider God’s way.
(I really couldn’t resist the song. It begged to be included)
