At times God seems so distant, it’s a struggle to discern what next. In that regard, today’s Holy Nougat may seem challenging; but I encourage us to consider the reflection that follows:
“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Jeremiah 29:13 NLT
There she was, feeling like a fraud – running on empty, including a smile.
He sat there contemplating – should he end the misery, or leave town for a while.
Surrounded in the playground, yet in despair – a word of greeting or a nod; no one seemed to care.
Believers all they were; yet lost along the Way; caught up in their issues, they’d forgotten they should pray
Pray for refilling the empty spaces inside, refreshing and renewing, allowing God’s presence to abide
Pray when despondency overwhelms along the way, if life doesn’t seem worth living – my peeps it’s time to pray
Pray for coverage and discernment when surrounded by the hordes – whether confusion, sadness, pain or anger – the battle is the Lord’s!
God’s not just the God of the Big Pic, of surface level whims; let’s seek God’s presence in the small things – those battles we really need to win
Seeking is praying and trusting in everything we do; surrendering fears and conflicts, our tears and laughter too!
Holding to the promises God’s given to everyone – if we seek in earnest we’ll find God, assisted by God’s Spirit and God’s Son!
Seeking, sought and found; created, lost yet loved – there’s abundance in God’s presence; enough for everyone – NAS 2020
