Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
On the very day that they sacrificed their children to their idols, they boldly came into my Temple to worship! They came in and defiled my house. Ezekiel 23:39 NLT
I’ve often entertained disapproving thoughts of those child-sacrificing folk, until I realised that we are just as guilty as a society. Except our children are not physically govern over to the gods of this world. Hmmmmmm. Ouch.
In what ways have we been sacrificing our children on the altars of Molech and Ashterah? Where are the shrines and temples to Ba’al hidden away? Is it the lifestyle which places pleasures first, family after? Or are we married to the job (in the name of providing for the family), to the detriment of our spiritual life and the destruction of our families?
And have we happily gone on to worship the Lord, while our lives are in disarray? Have we failed to recognise that mess in our physical, mental, emotional, financial and daily lives impacts our spiritual lives?
BUT! God desires our restoration. As long as we repent, as soon as we seek forgiveness of our actions which displease God, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That’s guaranteed with a lifetime warranty!
