Hello
Some issues are like recurring decimals; never disappearing, only disappointing. Perhaps the wider story (please read for yourselves) around today’s Holy Nougat might offer some hope.

Ironic, isn’t it – the blind KNEW that the Messiah was in town without having seen him; yet the lame was clueless. For years he had been stuck by the edge of the pool. For years, what coulda, shoulda, woulda been His was someone else’s inheritance. Someone else’s portion. It could not have been easy. He probably stopped being happy for them, if he ever had been before. I know I’d have felt forsaken.
Been there before? With a situation that humans couldn’t fix and prayers seem to reach nowhere? Been there.
In the man’s case, he probably had heard the question before – do you wanna get better. For everyone has an opinion about our misfortune. And everyone feels free to share said opinion, invited to share or not – isn’t it? Any wonder that the man was defensive about his 38-year solitary confinement?!
The difference lie in Who asked the question. This was not yet another accusatory bloke; another grandstander, another curious George filled with hot air to pollute his ears! But the lame man was unaware.
Been there before? Has the Messiah visited, offered help and been mistaken for something else? Are you there now, ‘Waiting by the River till You come Lord Jesus’, unable to see the makings of your breakthrough? Can you hear the voice of Jesus? What question is He asking? Are you going to answer; or should He understand the obvious?
Perhaps we’re answering the wrong question, or maybe it’s someone else’s time. Even if we’ve been asking, pleading, begging, praying … let’s go once again and listen to the answer this time.
I pray that our God answers with a miracle or with Peace.
