Blessings
Warm greetings to you.
Here’s today’s nougat.
Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” Luke 11.1
They had the most intimate of relationships as disciples. And yet, there were some critical aspects of his life which they had little familiarity. John’s disciples had a prayer life (and they fasted too), but they didn’t. At least, not in the way that moved mountains and transformed lives.

That was a prayer in and of itself. “Lord, teach us how to pray.”
As we contemplate the depths and intensity of our individual relationship with Jesus Christ, do we sometimes find ourselves making that same request? “Lord Jesus, teach me how to pray.” For, if we do; we are not just inviting directions on words and concepts (We have that blueprint in the Luke passage); but, we invite the Holy Spirit’s guidance on the core issues which connect with the heart of God.

Supplication …
are great places to begin. But, we are conscious that prayer, even when corporate, is an intimate moment between us and God. And so, we look to the Spirit of God to direct us. It is a life- transforming experience.
Are you ready for such deep intimacy with God? If so, would you be willing to ask, “Lord, teach me how to pray, amen.”
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
