Hi
Have you ever considered whose you are?
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” II Timothy 2:19 NKJV
Can you really fathom it? We’re marked by God, with God’s own seal? Yes. God “knows” us: by name, nature and naturalization!
As a child, I remember being expected to behave in a particular way because of my parentage. Likewise, the world has established its own standards for our behaviors when we are God’s. Is it too much to think that God also has standards which we are expected to maintain as those who are legitimate members of the household of faith?
So what then do we do? Perhaps adopt the psalmist’s plea, “search me O Lord, and know my thoughts”. And when the verdict of the search comes in, we then consciously repent of that which offends God and relinquish rights immediately. A bit of surrender may also prove instructive, as yielding to God gets greater transformation than trying to save ourselves by ourselves (don’t believe, check those saints in the Bible).
Here’s an invitation to God we might wish to borrow for starts
Have thine own way Lord, have thine own way.
Thou art the potter, I am the clay
Mold me and make me after thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.

May God’s grace sustain us as we repeat those words.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
