Hello
The mess going on around the world these days is cause for grave concern. Without a doubt Jesus would have been in tears on our behalf.
Hear his concern about Jerusalem shortly before his triumphant entry in today’s Holy Nougat™
“What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse. Matthew 11:21 NLT
The willingness to repent as a nation is not always easy. For many of us are not keen on absorbing corporate sin. Perhaps rightly so, as it is not really fair to seek forgiveness for another’s wrongs.
However, that is not only what Jesus did, it is also what He EXPECTS of us … EACH of us!
So, where does that leave us now? Perhaps being a bit more proactive in transforming the course of your nation. Instead of accepting the ills plaguing our nations carte blanche, it is time to fight back. And what better way to do so than on our knees.
If you’re Jamaican, we have been at prayer this weekend as a nation – in a season of intentional repentance. Join us.
If you’re not Jamaican, let’s get the prayer rolling. In fact, I invite you to name your country of residence, origin, adoption or concern in a response and core one/two issues for us to cover. I’ll join you (& if you’re on the FB page, in certain one or two others will also join in).
So Lord in Your mercy, forgive us.
In Christ’s love and grace
