To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the Common Good. 1 Cor 12:7
Remember when we began our conversations on the Holy Spirit, we noted that everyone has access to the Holy Spirit. I’d also noted that there is a distinction between the presence and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
While chatting with the membership of the church which HE founded, Paul found it necessary to urge them to celebrate each other’s gifts. (This argument about spiritual superiority is neither new nor strange eh). In the preceding verses, a clear line is drawn, establishing gifts, services, and activities as separate manifestations of the Holy Spirit’s presence. What have we been manifesting since being under the powerful leadership of the Holy Spirit?
