Hello there
I trust you are walking in the fullness of God’s anointing upon your life. On reading today’s Holy Nougat, I am reminded of being spoiled as a child and the assurance I had that my sisters would get me out of whichever scrape I got myself in. (Thanks dears, luv u)
“Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”” Psalms 50:15 NLT
You might not have been as blessed as I am, however you might have had an experience of God’s mercy in a difficult situation. It might not have been a problem of your own making – it doesn’t have to be – but you know that you got rescued. If you did, then you find that calling on God during troubling times becomes more natural. Perhaps to the extent that God is your first thought when trouble comes. Unfortunately, for many of us, that is not our reality.
Rather, we ‘marry’ the trouble, claiming it as our own. Then when we finally seek external help, we invite the world in (usually to our own detriment); long before we eventually seek God’s intervention. Are you guilty of that too? I wonder why we do that tho!
Today I encourage us to reprogramme our system, so that God is our first recourse and not our last resort. And, when we receive our breakthrough, let us be equally diligent about giving Our God the praise! We might find that bragging on Jesus becomes a habit, and that we are more blessed than it seems.
May God prove to be our Present and Successful Help in troubled times!
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
