Hi

Have you ever experienced loneliness; real gut-wrenching loneliness? The kind that envelops you even in a crowd and tries to tell you that no on cares? Or the kind that comes from segregation of any sort; and assures you that you don’t belong? You know, where it’s accompanied by name calling and if you not careful, the name calling seems to come from within and not just from others.

One side effect of this kind of loneliness is depression. Depression is a very serious problem around us all today. It is believed that more than 300 million people are affected by depression globally. People of all ages and at different stages. Unfortunately, with the amount of stigma attached to depression; we many of us are not quite ready to acknowledge that we are depressed or seek help.

Because depression often convinces us that we are unloved and unloveable; we may (momentarily) experience feelings of desolation. Which may trigger the further feeling that we should chuck it all in; to remove the obstacle – ourself.

But once acknowledged; bone-deep loneliness, depression and forsakenness (including the desire to remove ourselves from life) actually can be overcome. By counseling, medication and by divine (spiritual) intervention. And while meds have their place; we find that counseling and divine intervention begin at the place of adding value to our existence. And one precious source of that encouragement is love.

For Love says we are each valued as precious; our (depressed) tears are collected like precious jewelry. We are given the honor of being a little lower than (some say equal to) angels – in Love. And that Love is reaching out to you and I this very moment.

Hear God’s Love combatting our seasons of depression, loneliness and pain of forsakenness in today’s Holy Nougat

“Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as his bride.” Isaiah 62:4 NLT

Whether or not we need a pick me upper today; I pray we know how much we are loved.

Good morning

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
