Hello there
What do we do when God seems to be to good to be true?
Time to savor today’s Holy Nougat™
Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. Then he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”. Luke 24:41 NLT
He’d journeyed with them all the way on the road to Emmaus. Their despondency was so great they failed to recognize their companion as the resurrected Christ. No matter that Jesus had spent time breaking open Scripture, it took the breaking of the bread for them to see Hope.
And that’s the point of convergence with many of us. Oftentimes, we actually KNOW God’s Truth, the Truth which frees and redeems us during our rough seasons. But putting the knowledge of God’s Truth into effect is not always as simple.
Those disciples couldn’t decide whether they were happy that their companion was Jesus; amazed that He was really journeying with them in their pain; or disbelieving (despite the evidence) that Christ really rose from the dead, just like the scriptures had indicated.
How do we respond when God offers us the impossible and confirms the Word amid our seasons in the Valley of Shadows? In what ways might we offer food to our Messiah through our faith?
Thanks for joining in this Divine feast
In Christ
