Greetings
Are you a follower of Christ who’s undergoing a rough season right now? It might not be all you as Jesus has also been there. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
““If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” John 15:18 NLT
Can you just hear Jesus’ encouragement to the disciples echoing in your own heart today? “My dear, this is nothing new; see the scars in my hands! See. And remember, most of the Twelve had their own season of testing and persecution.
“What!”, you say, this wasn’t quite what you’d bargained on; being threatened, terrorized by others, treated poorly and called names for my sake! Unfortunately, that’s part of the ‘cross’ you embrace daily, when you chose to follow me. Yes, it is a choice. You might choose to embrace the World to escape their attitudes. But, you run the risk of missing out on sweet fellowship with me.
Unfortunately, being halfway committed isn’t an option. You’ve got to be ‘Souled out’; loving me and following me with everything you’ve got – with all your heart! And you have to be open to heed my leading. I am with you each step of this journey! I am Comfort in the storm, especially this storm!
Remember I overcame their hatred. I fought back with loving forgiveness. It may take some time, and a little more spiritual maturity; but I KNOW you have the Power to overcome. I believe in You. And, you have your Secret weapon, my Spirit breathed in you. Remember? So take heart, it is well. They hated me first and not even death could defeat me. Not even death! You can overcome. Just trust me”
May we each find comfort in the knowledge of Who and Whose we are in Christ Jesus
