Blessings saints
How are you?
Well and warm enough, I hope. The weather forecast projects some snow tomorrow … brrrr. But I am thankful that it took this long as parts of Canada have already been shovelling.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Colossians 1:12 NKJV
“How are you?”
- “Well, my bones are creaking, but …”
- “Giving thanks, although …”
Have you been responsible for offering a response like those above to ‘How are you’? If so, when was the last time you did that? Moreover, what is your reaction to those responses?
Can you just imagine God’s reaction to our sighing? We’ve been given so much, yet how we are becomes contingent upon the negatives we face. Perhaps Jesus should pipe in, “Well, I’m fine; but for the flesh wounds and the ingratitude …”
In the midst of our brokenness, we are reminded that God has already secured our inheritance, that’s reason for thanksgiving and praises.
Despite our mess, we are guaranteed a place and it’s individually secured, no worries about poor investment or another’s greed. Yup. Reason enough to give Thanks and break out in praises. Oh yeah! Let the praise begin! (And if you’ve forgotten how, try psalm 103, 104, 145 or 150)
Hallelujah! To God be the glory!
In Christ
