Hello
May you be aware of the blessings God has in store for you today.
Here’s today’s nougat
Take me out of the net that is hidden for me, for you are my refuge. Psalm 31.4
Wow. In Isaiah we’re told God answers before we call. We’re also told that angels have been set to keep watch so that we are not injured by sharp stones along the way. Those are wonderful. Now the psalmist’s plea reminds us that we can also seek God’s protection when we are not certain about a path we’re taking.
(Not certain about you, but I guarantee I’ve got several of those moments).
The thing is, the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. He’s working hard to fulfill his purpose by ruining ours. One way this happens is when we land in traps set for us – like hunters’ snares – which may immobilize us for a bit.
And sometimes, just a moment’s pause can effect a lifetime of harm.
A wonderful friend of mine used to remind me that we are here to kotch (hold up even partially) each other in our spiritually crippled moments. And that’s essential. For there are those moments of trial.
Here, we rely on the One who is The Way to steer us from trouble like a GPS device. More importantly, the psalmist asks it, ASSURED that the Holy One SHALL do it.
Have we asked God to steer us away from the hidden nets of Life? Do we believe God can do it?
Selah
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
