“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5 NLT
So Lord Jesus
Be it according to Your Word; that wisdom is our added portion at work, at play, and even as we seek to live for You. We recognize that sometimes it’s hard to maintain equanimity when life gets in the way. By Your Grace, help us to reason through our ideas and make the best decisions based on our options and not our whims and fancies.
We also ask that You increase our generosity, so that the vulnerable are given priority when it is in our power to do so. We ask for unity of purpose and boldness to accompany our decisions , especially when what we choose is not the popular decision. Remind us that our first priority is to You and not to others; so that the glory is Yours and Yours only.
Lord, thank You for hearing and honoring our prayer, and for meeting us at the point of our need, rather than our greed. And as we bring this season of prayer to a formal close; we place the broken and lonely, the lost and hurting, the sick and infirm as well as the poor and needy before You. Please speak to their circumstances we pray as You hear and answer our prayer in Jesus name, amen.
