Reflection for May 21 (You see how the time rolling away!)
Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to his friend. Misses returned to the camp, but his minister Joshua Son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tent. Ex 33:11
Howdy, can you bless the Lord with me? Have you noticed an upsurge in stressors some you been praising, out have you been to busy praising to take note.
Today, I invite us to note that Moseshad an established place where he met with God. I remember a friend of mine establishing a prayer room, then I used to meet in my bedroom or in my car … but, like Adam and Eve, like Moses, there was a set place to foster friendship. Sometimes I’m just awed by the fact that The Creator wants to speak with me, to be MY FRIEND.
I also noticed that after Moses left the Tent of Meeting (Prayer Room), Joshua, a YOUNG MAN remained behind!!! It’s as tho Joshua was seeking that abiding friendship with God also. And God was not averse to it. Means to me, there’s no age limit on friendship with God. No I’m not talking about baptism and such, just simple friendship.
Jesus’s says obedience to his commandments assures his friendship. His big commandment is love. Could love usher us in that Secret Place? Cause of so, many children are way past us in that department!
How about it, in loving our neighbor, would we enter that Tent of Meeting, So we could talk with Jesus as a friend?
