Ever had a need that you couldn’t fix by yourself alone? What difference would it make if we appealed to God for help? Consider today’s Holy Nougat™️

““Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Top a Top

In Jamaica, the phrase ‘top a top’ refers to the best there is – brand name, high quality, ‘Page 2’ kind of best. That’s what God promises us who readily recognize that we are thirsty. Of course, we realize that thirst or hunger isn’t always physical but refers to the extreme urgency of our need. So before we go to God seeking Top a Top, it may be helpful to discern what it is we are thirsty for.

I don’t wish to assume lest we become donkeys together, but if our thirst or hunger is for Jesus, we are set. Because Jesus is both Living Water for the thirsty, and Bread of Life to the hungry. Of course, there are those who who don’t recognize our desperate need for a Savior, and who waste resources chasing the wrong person/thing.

The Bleeding Woman spent all her material possessions seeking a cure for her body. On meeting Jesus, she hungrily reached out … and discovered a Fount that simultaneously healed body, mind and spirit. Nicodemus thirsted, it took him a while, but also sourced Direct Living Water that keeps on refreshing.

We can too.

Cordon bleu blessings are not restricted by class, it’s available by God’s grace. Now that we found the Source, will we direct others? We can begin with the story of Jesus: Top a Top a Top!

Care for a drink anyone?

May all we seek be found in Christ
