Thus saith the Lord , The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where is the place of my rest?
Isaiah 66.1
At times, it is not so much that we’re guilty of being fools; rather that we take God for granted. After all, do we really believe that our God – who just by mere speech created the entire universe – would be incapable of establishing a dwelling place without us?
Earth is small enough to qualify as a footstooll, yet w think to dictate to The Sovereign. And yet the grandeur of God’s glory belies God’s intentional vulnerability, seeking out a relationship with us, our love and adulation.
