There are times when trusting God is not necessarily the easiest recourse. And it often affects our praise. But that’s when we need to PUSH (Praise Until Something Happens) forward. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.””
Psalms 50:23 NLT
Rest assured that I am speaking ‘praiseful’ personal experience when I concur that sometimes Praise is sacrificial. In those moments, praise just might be the last act on the mind, and the ‘flesh’ insists on spending inordinate attention on The ISSUE! And the thought of anyone, least of all your own spirit, choosing to focus elsewhere seems sacrilegious (Come to think of it, they should be a clue right there)! It is in that moment/season that we advise our selves, “ Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me Bless God’s holy name!’
(You might also NEED to ask for God’s forgiveness in the process!)
Then, once the praises begin, don’t stop till it moves past sacrifice and becomes true worship! For,
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Thee
Whoso offereth Praise glorofieth Thee
And to the one who ordereth their conversation aright
Will I show the salvation of God
Here’s something to move you toward praise
(Hopefully you will feel the difference in your spirit if you’d had to sacrifice the praise)
God bless you as your joyful heart makes the necessary medicine for your spirit
