Hello
It’s the little things that make the difference, including the pep talk that we cannot recognize as such. Don’t agree, consider today’s Holy Nougat
“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”” Esther 4:14 NLT
Mordecai’s comments to Esther is so very compelling – Selfishness and fear may cost you your life. Get real and consider your options… your current situation is perhaps not coincidental.
It is even more compelling when we are caught in the middle of issues far greater than our selves and we think we are ill equipped to address them. After all, who hasn’t kept quiet – when they should speak up – out of self preservation or fear of backlash on others?
Perhaps we even are unable to see our purpose. Until our Mordecai comes along and clarifies our purpose. For Purpose isn’t always as visible to us as it is to those around us. (Check most politicians if you’re not quite sure about that.) And unfortunately, many of us have to get our reminder of purpose in painful home truths before we grasp God’s bigger picture.
So we’re unemployed for what seems like forever – is there any merit to that? Got a raise in pay/status; and then as if on cue – something comes along as if it were waiting on you to be mobilized – probably you were promoted for that. Got out of a bad relationship and finally seeing the light and someone else is stuck in such – can your insights be the difference between life and death? You’ve been trying to find your purpose and God seems silent (while life seems to be falling apart) – perhaps your purpose for the season is hidden in the chaos!
Ultimately, our action or inaction will define that season of our lives. But it isn’t necessarily permanent. For God’s grace and mercy can override our greatest (triumph or) failure to make us our best selves. And that may be when we awake to our ultimate purpose.
Don’t go thinking you are powerless or a nonentity; don’t negate the value you add to any situation. Stop. Consider what God is affirming in you in this moment; who knows – perhaps you are called (by God) for such a time as this!
Good morning
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
