Often, we are challenged to remember that God is in control of all. I’m not talking about the lip service we render, but rather about our actions. For, for many of us, it’s a though the universe originated with us, and we redeemed ourselves. At least, that’s what our actions say. But that’s really not the case., it’s it? Consider Today’s Holy Nougat™️

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,

to receive glory and honor and power,

for you created all things,

and by your will they were created

and have their being.”

Revelation 4:11 NLT

By God’s Will

How many of us remember the Resurrection chorus, ‘God’s Not Dead’? It is a declaration to the world about Jesus’ Resurrection. It’s a children’s action sing which says,

God’s not dead – No! He’s alive (x3)

I feel Him in my hands

(clap, wave or hand motion)

I feel Him in my feet

(foot action like stomping)

I feel Him all over me

(dance or whole body action)

Yay, yay, yeah!

As a declaration, it is mighty powerful. And though it is absolutely correct, we’re also acutely conscious and thankful so, that Jesus died. For, in order to conquer Death, God has to die. Remember that part of the Redemption Plan? That’s why God became human in the first place. And after dying, through His Resurrection power, Death was conquered.

Please permit me to take our Nougat out of context, to revert to the Death ofJesus. After someone’s death, there usually is the reading of … yes you guessed it – The Will. There is a sense in which Jesus’ Will brought us into being. More so as believers. For, ‘He Who had NO SIN became Sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God [through Christ Jesus] (see 2 Corinthians 5:21).

That’s definitely one major reason to praise God. ‘For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!’ (See Romans 5:17). It’s true. Our life was in Jesus’ Will.

What’s even greater, is that with His Resurrection, the Will is still valid. So yes, Jesus died – primarily to fulfill God’s ‘will’, so that we ‘who believe in Him will NOT perish …’ but have our being (existence) in Him.

Date we join the 24 eldersand the angelic hosts in proclaiming

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,

to receive glory and honor and power,

for you created all things,

and by your will they were created

and have their being.”

May all we seek be found in Christ
