Hello
I trust you and your family are well.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
But some became stubborn, rejecting his message and publicly speaking against the Way. So Paul left the synagogue and took the believers with him. Then he held daily discussions at the lecture hall of Tyrannus. Acts of the Apostles 19:9 NLT
What do we do when the gospel we share is not received by those we’re ministering to?
Get angry? Nope.
Preach louder in the hope they’ll ‘see’ the Light? (Rather tempting perhaps, but …) No.
Tell them off for their spiritual stupidity, while speaking fire and brimstone over their lives? (perish the thought, even if they deserve it) Not at all.
Excuse ourselves from the argument (and invite the Holy Spirit to transform their lives)? Most definitely.
Let us be mindful however, separation of ways occurred AFTER the dissenters spoke AGAINST The Way (i.e. spoke against or ridiculed the Gospel of Jesus Christ). So then, a major consideration for us when others reject our message is to ensure that what we live and preach about Jesus Christ aligns with the Gospel.
Lord help us make our lives reflect you wherever we go. And may we discern when to press on and when to retreat.
Thanks for sharing this time with me and with God
In Christ
