What if God were to treat us as we treat others? Ouch! Maybe we actually deserve a taste of our attitudes and actions, but grace!
Now that we’ve accepted this gift of God’s grace, perhaps we might recognize the characteristics of our own senselessness, ignorance and arrogance. And, if so, may we be moved to confession and repentance for our past brutishness. Or (if we have long ago genuinely repeated), it could be that we are moved to thanksgiving for God’s graciousness.
Sounds like a weekend of prayer, proclamation and praise is in order. What say you?
