And so,
An icon in our local church has transitioned into glory. Rest well beloved of God. Put in a word for us.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116.15
Note, the death of a saint isn’t necessarily great to us. We don’t adjust well to the permanence of death. After all, it is rare that any of them returns to life (like Jesus did).
But when we consider the rejoicing in heaven for the new/reinstated convert, it becomes readily apparent that one swho dies in Christ should receive a heroic welcome.
Can you imagine the fanfare? Trumpets, cymbals and harp welcoming the saints home? Now that’s what’s precious. God welcoming us home.
How do we measure up to God’s stabdard? It’s all about relationships. With God, self and others.
For those who mourn in this seaso, God bless you. And for us others, let us work to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant”
In Christ
