Are you aware that the extent of global warming is such that many people and scientists expect the world to be destroyed by 2030, or at best, by 2050. I don’t know how much truth lies in the calculations, although the current spate of disasters, compounded by human greed, selfishness and cruelty to others does seem like we’re intentionally conspiring to make it real. Some of us wonder what generated those dates and whether there are Scripture relating to the predictions. If you among those people, consider today’s Holy Nougat

Heaven and Earth will Pass Away

Many people know that Bezos, Branson, and Musk are all vested in efforts to determine whether there’s scope for life outside of Planet Earth. There are reports of space travel and other plans to find alternative inhabitable planets. Who can blame them for this desire? From their vantage points, and with their vast zillions, they are probably thinking profit margins and personal security, and not saving the planet we are jointly destroying. Regardless of the trio, there obviously is a very real threat to earth’s existence as it is, to generate such extreme actions. Here in Switzerland, glaciers are melting; in the Caribbean and the Pacific, sea levels are rising to the extent that islands are sinking; the weight of apartments is causing New York to sink a bit, and volcanic activity has literally brought Psalm 46 to life, with mountains being carried into the midst of the sea!

Moreover, Musk, Branson and Bezos are on to something! There is life for us beyond this galaxy! And no, I’m not referring to the Forbes article ‘Possible Sign Of Life Found On A Planet 120 Light-Years Away’ – https://www.forbes.com/…/possible-sign-of-life…/amp/ I am referring to Heaven. That place Jesus has prepared for us. And if that is also destroyed, then we still would have lived a fruitful life for the One Who was, Is and Is coming again.

His Word is Truth. We can count on that.

Siblings, here’s the Hope in this season – our God is with us. And nothing happens without God’s foreknowledge. If the earth should implode or fry as many fear, then it is further proof of Jesus’ prophetic word. And, assuming that we have practiced due diligence by living in and for Christ we will not actually experience this.
