Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. Jeremiah 33:3 NLT
Hi Lord
It’s me. I trust you are able to remain calm about all that’s going on in the world today. I’m not sure how you do it, because if I were you … I’d let em have it. For destroying and disregarding my handiwork like this. For treating each other with scant regard. For devaluing what they can’t create, hmmmn
But then you wouldn’t be God if you were me huh. You’d be many things, but not who you are.
That being said though Lord, I’m really here about this promise you made… “ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets…” To be very honest Lord, I’d love to be as intimately close to you that you’d share Your Divine secrets with me. Of a truth, I’m happy to share mine – well most of them – except that I know you know them already. And since you know them already, you know that I partly want to know remarkable secrets out of sheer curiosity. I love to be in the know. I also know that if that were my sole motive, you probably would leave me hanging, but I also want to know what’s coming so that I could prepare or plan …
No. Not that kind of remarkable things. Err, OK; I think.
Would you be revealing remarkable things to me so I might not lose hope in humanity? Because, I must confess that many a time I’ve lost faith in your people y’know. Which brings us back almost full circle eh. Except that instead of straightening them out my way, I think I’ll hear you out and discern what your radical plans for the future look like and find my place in then.
And while we’re on that part of the revelation, would you like to strengthen any aspect of my life? Do a good detailing, cleaning up the rusty (sin) spots so I might be brand new second hand? And while you’re at it, would you customize my life to equip me for those great and mighty things please.
So Lord, it’s me again. Please show me what you’d have me see in the future. Wherever you’re ready. Order my life in accordance with Your Word and your will, so that I might be as you would have me.
Okay, I’ll be listening now. Speak Lord, I love you …
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
