How has your walk with Jesus been? Is it time to drop all the facades and get real without worrying about what the crowds would say? Who knows, perhaps the crowd is watching you to figure out how to approach Him also.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. Acts of the Apostles 1:4 NLT
Having returned to them after his death, just like He had promised, Jesus made a fresh promise. He expected them to believe for two reasons:
+ Jesus promised to be raised from the dead and He did … He proved himself to be the fulfillment of God’s promises
+ God made a similar promise to Jacob by that fateful “Ladder” site, and God came through (God assured Jacob that everything promised by God to him would be fulfilled before Jacob’s death … and it did. That’s when the nation of Israel was established by tribes).
So here’s the question – What has God promised you? Is there a lifetime promise made by God to you, for which you await the fulfillment? ]I can think of several for myself.]
Have they come to pass, and do you need to re/position yourself spiritually (probably even physically) so that they may be fulfilled? [In some instances, I needed to stay put, occasionally I needed to be repositioned.]
If you feel that God has not promised you anything, and yet you need to find your next step spiritually, might I encourage you to consider spending some time in the Word and in prayer?
And if Jesus says stay put; don’t move … Stay put and start praising. But if Jesus invited you to assess your priorities or shift a few things around, make the change.
Then, if nothing is happening, have a little talk with Jesus. Tell Him about your concerns. Be honest. Be real. Be open to the move of the Spirit. Listen for an answer. I guarantee on Jesus’ resurrection power … God WILL come through.
