Blessings my dears
We have not departed from the season of prayer. However, we’ve shifted focus to understanding God. For in our understanding of God, we are better able to direct our prayers.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. Genesis 17:1 KJV
Can you imagine, God appearing to Abram way past his prime? True, in those days people lived for hundreds of years, but even then, that’s a while. At 99, Abram had already been walking with God for more than twenty years. Yet God invites him to walk worthy. As we’d say in Jamaica, wha no dead, no dash weh ( i.e. don’t condemn as useless that which God declares useful).
Let’s fast track some centuries, rather a few millennia. How do we treat with persons who choose to heed God’s call in their twilight years? Especially when the person is us?
What if God is still calling us? Yesterday, we explored our understanding of God. Today, I invite us to examine the link between our understanding of Who God is and or experience of God.
God is still talking. Furthermore, God still desires relationship with us, for us to walk in tandem with God. How might we respond?
And what do we do when God makes the impossible possible? Giving birth out of the barren and impotent? Partnering with us to create life in the face of desolation?
What is God calling you to do now? Time to prayerfully ponder…
