We continue to reflect on the impact of God’s presence in our lives with today’s Holy Nougat
“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.” Ephesians 1:18 NLT
How about that?! When filled with God’s confident hope we become part of the treasure God bequeaths to the world!! Us, God’s gift to others. Yup. That is what it says about each of us.
I find this to be good and scary news.
Good; because an inheritance normally is the accumulation of wealth; so it suggests that we are precious, valuable, worthwhile … to God; and to whomsoever God chooses .
And that’s the scary part – that God would choose US, you and me, to be God’s best assets for sharing! When we – when others – have Zero confidence in us, our gifts and worth; God says and proves otherwise. When the gift of God’s blessings is to be shared, God would have us be the channel for that potentially life-transforming act. When someone needs a reminder of their worth to and in God, God’s Spirit makes a gift of US to demonstrate that that someone is special!
That’s awesome, incredible, beautiful, well orchestrated, and powerful all at the same time!
Because it’s not about us per se, but about the floodlight of hope within. I mean, we get to be part of this process through our faith in Jesus! And when we keep going to the point of running down (aka burnout); then God’s already got others assigned to journey with us. God will recharge us – totally. Yes God can and will!!!! For you, and me.
So how about us closing our eyes for a moment and basking in God’s blessings – to and of us – today. Feel God’s Spirit coursing through us, delivering and restoring hope. Allow God to fill every crevasse, niche, hidden and empty space (invite God in intentionally) and feel the restoration of our souls.
Now let’s ask God to share God’s glory through us with someone today.
