Many of us face myriads of affliction in our lives. Some of you have shared with me or other persons, while some have not. Today’s Holy Nougat is an invitation to praise and intercession for our own lives, and also for a young doctor who is battling cancer and needs our prayers to overcome
“But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude” Psalms 3:3-4 NLT
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea.” Isaiah 43:2, 16 NLT
I have been hearing two songs in my head all night, even in my sleep, and both apply to the situation I mentioned above.
“Thou oh Lord are a shield for me “(my glory, and the lifter-up of my head)
“God will make a way” (when there seems to be no way)
May these guide us in prayer today for Doc, for ourselves and others in need of divine intervention.
