Yesterday felt so productive, despite the fact that I was bored at times. But there are some days. . . When everything seems to be outside my control. Days that make you go Arggggghh!
Here’s your Holy Nougat™ for today
Pilate therefore saith unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? Knowest thou not that I have power to release thee, and have power to crucify thee? John 19:10
The irony is that most times, our bad days seem to result from circumstances outside our control. But unless the control belongs to God,, then the power is misplaced and misappropriated.
Pilate was sure he had the upper hand, but failed to realise that ultimately, ALL POWER belongs to Jesus. The trial and eventual crucifixion were permitted by God, not Pilate.
And so it is with our life situations. Others attempt to direct or control us, presuming that their intervention will makea difference; but it is Jesus Christ who makes things right. Jesus, who, having defied death, assures us life eternal and delivers us from the Evil One.
So when things get way out of control, perhaps it’s time to tap into our spiritual reserves, and reinstate Jesus as Lord over our every situation.
Lord we believe! Help us yield or unbelief to your power.
