Hello
The squirrels are beginning their gathering routine…winter’s a coming. Are you ready for whatever “winter” brings?
Here’s today’s nougat
I was young and now am old; but I have never seen the righteous forsaken, not God’s seed begging bread. Psalm 37.5
For many folks around the world, it’s already winter. No; I’m not referring to the cold which has the squirrels risking their lives during Autumn. I’m referring to the harsh season of their lives when things probably couldn’t get any worse (Or so we hope). Have you ever been through that kind of winter? What is it that kept you warm?
For the psalmist, it was the knowledge that God never leaves nor forsakes. It may seem otherwise, but God will come through. Not necessarily in the way we’d want or at the time we want (like … yesterday!!!), but God comes through. Sometimes through a raven, perhaps through a donkey, maybe even with a manger … But my God will NOT forsake me. And I know, just like the psalmist knew, that God will deliver you too.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
