Although I am not an expert on babies, I have been convinced of the premise that fulfilling our purpose is a process somewhat similar to child birthing. And that birthing requires conception. Please consider today’s Holy Nougat
“And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.” Luke 2:6 NLT
On a very literal level; this nougat refers to the physical birth of Jesus. I was struck however, by the fact that many of us seek to walk in God’s purpose and have not grasped some aspects of the process.
Purpose begins with conception, a small idea that gives us a sense of God’s call for our lives. Sometimes we may think it’s our plan, at other times we are abundantly clear that God is behind the plan. But between the idea and fulfillment of the purpose are many moments of refining, discernment and confirmation . And even then, we may still be expectant. If that’s where we are presently, it may behoove us to prayerfully seek God’s face and godly counsel to ensure that all is in good order.
Like Mary however, there comes a time for God’s purpose to come to fruition; like the time came for the baby to be born. It is important that we recognize that moment, for destinies of others usually shift when we walk in God’s purpose. There might be some labor pain, opposition even, but God will confirm that for each of us, and even send midwives to assist us in the process.
Are we in the delivery room about to give birth to God’s purpose? Let’s ensure that we are attuned to God so that we don’t miss our moment. May we continue in God’s grace and purpose for this time.

May all we seek be found in Christ
