How are our clothes?

Ever heard of The Emperor’s New Clothes? It’s an old story about prideful stupidity. A vain emperor was swindled by two commoners, who convinced him to buy invisible cloth. He had a parade to show off his haute couture and everything; but succeeded only in showing his stupidity. He was naked!

But the con artists had indicated that only the most sophisticated minds could see their creation. For fear of looking stupid, he allowed his ‘sophistication’ to see otherwise. It didn’t change the facts – he was NAKED

Many of us are just like the emperor.

We have bought the lies sold to us by the enemy of our souls. We’ve been convinced that our immersion in Christ is of little value and have opted for being clothed with the flesh; rendering us Naked!

And like the emperor, we are unwilling to admit, to acknowledge our nakedness.

But

In The Emperor’s New Clothes, there was a boy. One who named what he saw and feared not being punished for the truth. If we are on fumes, dead and dried up on the inside; I want to recommend someone to us.

He’s not a boy.

He won’t just announce our nakedness, for like His Father, He uses Blood to cover our nakedness. And His clothing, unlike the scammers’, are legit. We can wear and be transformed on the inside – outer clothing very necessary!

If we’re not naked; that’s great. I would still urge us to check in with Jesus for ourselves, our robes (of righteousness) might need repair. Again, he WILL clean and sustain – if/when we ask.

How are our clothes?
